Grandmothers Against Removal NSW (GMAR)

Jennifer Swan is an Gomeroi woman from Moree and a founding member of Grandmothers Against Removal (GMAR) in NSW. Jennifer has lived experience of the child protection and OOHC system, having fought to have shared care of her grandchildren. She continues to fight and advocate on behalf of other families who endure similar experiences, working to ensure that GMAR continue to contribute to real change on the ground. Jennifer has played a pivotal role in the development of GMAR initiatives and initiatives including establishment of the Local Advisory Groups(LAGs) and the Guiding Principles.
