Resources for religious and community leaders

Religious and community leaders are often the first point of call for their community when they need help. In recognition of their unique role within the community, DCJ has consulted and collaborated with religious and community leaders and experts to develop information to support the important work they do. This page will be updated as further resources are developed.

Resources have been developed in collaboration with religious and community leaders to assist them in their work with community members who may be experiencing domestic and family violence. Download your copy of Information for religious and community leaders responding to domestic and family violence. This guide is also available in Arabic, Chinese Simplified and Traditional, Hindi, Punjabi, Turkish and Vietnamese languages.

Domestic and family violence seminars

The Department of Community and Justice delivers seminars on domestic and family violence to religious and community leaders on a regular basis. To find more information view the seminar fact sheet (PDF, 68.1 KB)

Seminars for religious or community leaders can be tailored to meet the need of your community. Please contact multiculturalengagement@justice.nsw.gov.au to find out more.

At the conclusion of the seminar religious and community leaders will be invited to take the NSW Domestic and Family Violence Declaration as their personal commitment to their community.
