Tim Ireland

Tim is a Bundjalung man from the North Coast region of NSW, born and raised in Grafton, and now living in Sydney. Tim is the Chief Executive Officer of AbSec, the NSW peak Aboriginal child and family organisation in NSW, caring and advocating for Aboriginal children, families and organisations. Tim is also a Director and Treasurer for SNAICC, the national peak Aboriginal body. He is passionate about driving a holistic, Aboriginal-controlled child and family system tailored to the needs of Aboriginal children, families and communities.

Before joining AbSec in 2014, Tim held senior executive roles at the NSW Department of Family and Community Services, where he gained valuable insight into child protection, disability and aged care. In addition, Tim also comes with experience in local government, previously working for a number of Councils in the Sydney region.
