Maxine Goodwin is a community focused individual with more than 20 years’ experience working in both the health and community sectors. Maxine’s experience has included program coordination, program development, and case management specially focused on meeting the needs of individuals experiencing loneliness and social isolation in south-west Sydney. Working in the non-profit sector for over ten years, Maxine designed and facilitated a “talking café” for refugee and asylum seekers in Liverpool, a volunteer-based in-home visit program for socially isolated individuals in the South Western suburbs of Sydney and co-designed and delivered a community based program addressing loneliness for individuals living in the community, which provided individualised case management and capacity building, based on similar programs already delivered in the UK.
Maxine joined SWSLHD Primary and Community Health’s Social Prescribing Program as a Link Worker in October 2024.
