In early 2025, the Department of Communities and Justice, will hold their second Multicultural Community Engagement Conference. The Conference will be bigger than ever and will be hosted at Rosehill Racecourse. DCJ aims to support and build capacity across the public and private sectors when engaging with our multicultural communities.
At the heart of our conference lies the belief that collaboration and active involvement are the cornerstones of building a thriving community. We are excited to once again bring together a diverse group of individuals and organizations who share a common vision: to create safe, just, inclusive and resilient communities for all.
The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) hosted the first Multicultural Community Engagement Conference: Filling in the puzzle: The bigger picture of engagement on Thursday, 27 October 2022 at PARKROYAL Parramatta, 30 Phillip Street, Parramatta New South Wales.
The 2022 conference offered an opportunity to connect, collaborate and communicate best practices for engaging with multicultural communities. Over 450 delegates attended from Government agencies, Community organisations, regional organisations, Industry personnel, Universities, and religious and community leaders. Conference attendees could select from 43 different presentations that explored different topics and were aligned to the conference themes. Selected participating organisations also showcased their services through stalls and poster presentations on the day.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the Multicultural Engagement Conference from 23 July 2024 to early 2025. More information, including the exact dates and location, will be announced soon.
