With many NSW government entities expected to report at the end of this financial year on the steps they are taking to remove products of modern slavery from their procurement, this timely briefing session provides an opportunity for clarification of expectations, as well as the opportunity to ask questions.
It complements the recent NSW Public Procurement and Modern Slavery Discussion Paper. This paper outlines the issues that need to be addressed in order to develop a clear, shared framework for driving up the effectiveness of modern slavery due diligence in NSW public procurement in the years ahead. Responses to the Discussion Paper are invited via email to antislavery@dcj.nsw.gov.au until 16 December 2022.
