Join us at the DCJ Multicultural Community Engagement Conference on Tuesday 8 April 2025 at Rosehill Racecourse. Entry is from 8am with the conference commencing at 9.30am.

By car

The most convenient way to get to conference venue is by car.  There is plenty of free parking available at the venue.   Entry is via Grand Avenue North, Gate 1 Rosehill Gardens Racecourse.

By light rail

Catch the Parramatta Light Rail via L4 Westmead and Carlingford line to Rosehill Gardens. Watch here.

The Rosehill Gardens stop is located on Grand Avenue North (Camellia), which leads to the racecourse’s main entrance that is a short 7-minute walk away.  The service connects Carlingford and Westmead via Parramatta CBD. Services run regularly.

Important safety tip - use the underpass to cross the road

We highly recommend that you follow signage to the racecourse and use the underpass (under Grand Avenue the elevated section of the road) to safely access Rosehill Gardens Racecourse.  This is to avoid crossing the busy highway.

By bus/train

The closest train station to Rosehill Gardens Racecourse is Parramatta Station where you can connect with the regular bus route (920) to get to the racecourse:

  • Services leave from Parramatta Station Interchange, Stand A2, and drop off at Rosehill Gardens, James Ruse Drive
  • Services leave from James Ruse Drive at Prospect Street and drop off at Parramatta Interchange.

By taxi

Set Down: Taxis enter Rosehill Gardens Racecourse through the Grand Avenue gates, Gate 1. The set-down point is at the taxi rank. Taxis are not permitted to stop on James Ruse Drive and Grand Ave.

Pick Up: Taxis are located at the Grand Avenue end of the racecourse adjacent to the Might and Power entry.

Facilities at the conference

Registration desk

Registrations open from 8.20am.

Entry to the conference is through level 1, the Grand Pavilion. Go to the registration desk to register for participants, stallholders and presenters.

Exhibition stalls

There will be stalls to learn about services and programs by government and non- government organisations. View stalls.

Morning tea and lunch

Catering for the conference will be served on level 1 with seating available indoors and outdoors.

Toilets

Accessible, female and male toilets available.

First aid

St Johns Ambulance is available on site for medical emergencies.  A first aid room is located on level 1, next to the Grand Pavillion.

Chill out space

A chill-out area is available just next to the Grand Pavillion.  A quiet space for anyone who needs to take a break.

Level 2

How to access level 2 - leave plenty of time to get to level 2 in between breaks

Level 2 can be accessed by stairs and a ramp.

There is only one lift - please consider leaving the lift for participants who cannot manage the stairs or the ramp.

Keynote sessions in the Plenary room

The plenary main conference room is on level 2.  Access is available by ramp (just outside the entrance), stairs and lift.

Breakout session locations

All conference breakout session rooms are on level 2. 

Prayer room

A prayer room is available for use throughout the day on level 2 at the back corner behind the Plenary room.

Toilets

Accessible, female and male toilets available.
