    Dan: I first met the DCJ Housing Team when I was living in North Head Campground.

    Dan: They offered me assistance to get me a house and I'm so thankful that I'm here in this house now and now I've got an opportunity to rebuild my life.

    Lachlan Fuzzard, Program Coordinator, The Family Place: When we first met Dan, our main focus was trying to find accommodation that would allow his dog to be with him.

    Dan: I’ve been able to pick up my music again which I was unable to do while I was living in tent.

    Kim Spinks, DCJ Homeless Outreach Support Team: Dan is a talented musician who can play multiple instruments and it's wonderful to be able to provide him safe and quality accommodation.

    Lachlan: Now that Dan is in his own home my role is ongoing support to make sure Dan has all the services that he may require and it is really fantastic to see him in a nice home with his dog Grizzly.

    Dan: It's great to have a place I can call home, there's nothing else like it.

Role overview

The Administrative Support Assistant position is an entry level position where you will directly support the client service delivery team. The primary purpose of this role is to provide a high level of support through managing a range of administrative and client service functions. 

Your day may be busy responding to over the counter and telephone enquiries, providing information to clients as well as referring client enquiries and information onto client service staff. 

This is your chance to work in an area that prides itself on working together to grow housing opportunities that put people first.
