SJFC Leadership Group

A SJFC Leadership Group made up of key NSW government agencies, peak organisations representing the sector, and the Australian Services Union (NSW & ACT branch)  has been established to provide critical advice and guidance to the NSW government on the all-of-government program of work (Roadmap) to be delivered under the Commitment.

The Leadership group will progress actions, seeking alignment with complementary or relevant activity being undertaken at a Commonwealth Government level, or in other jurisdictions, in particular in line with Closing the Gap Priority Reform 2, Building the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector.

SJFC Working Groups

Within the SJFC Leadership Group, focussed working groups have been established to coordinate actions in priority areas essential to the transformation of the community services sector in NSW.

The SJFC working groups are coordinated by a Secretariat function within Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

The initial working group meetings were held in early 2024 and provided input into the draft SJFC Roadmap.

Working groups are currently progressing scoping and implementation planning, concurrently as the draft SJFC Roadmap is being considered.

It is proposed that working groups will support research and development, implementation, and evaluation of the Roadmap.
