Project objective

Increase the representation and retention of Aboriginal employees, employees from diverse backgrounds and people with a disability within CSSS.

The challenge

Prioritise our Hiring Managers to complete Disability Confident (for Managers and for recruiters) training on Thrive and conducting Hiring Manager masterclass.

Establish innovative and targeted strategies to attract candidates from all diversity groups

Ensuring CSSS recruitment and selection process are accessible and inclusive to optimise candidate experience.

CSSS Business Units to actively participate in DCJ employment programs (such as Stepping Into program) as an avenue to recruit, develop and retain a diverse workforce

Providing development opportunities and career pathways for our diverse workforce

What will success look like?

The completion of Disability Confident (for recruiters and for managers) training by hiring managers as measured by OD&L and/or business unit metrics. Hiring managers participate in Hiring Managers masterclass. Hiring managers demonstrate their knowledge and skills.

Increased applications from diverse groups progressing to the interview stage through to being employed and on boarded in CS Statewide Services

CSSS Business Units to participate in DCJ Employment Programs

Improved representation, development and retention of, employees from diverse backgrounds and people with a disability within CSSS
