NSW Disability Inclusion Action Plan Guidelines

These guidelines are a tool to support the development of Disability Inclusion Action Plans (DIAPs).The guidelines are to ensure that there is a whole of government, whole of community approach in addressing areas that people with disability have identified as priorities.

The NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014 mandates NSW Government agencies and local councils have DIAPs, as they play a critical role in promoting the ethos of inclusion.

DIAPs outline the practical steps NSW Government agencies and local councils have put in place to break down barriers and promote access to:

  • services
  • information
  • employment
  • promote the rights of people with disability.
