Community Housing Industry Council

The Community Housing Industry Council (CHIC) provided independent advice to the NSW Government on policies and strategies for the development of the community housing industry in NSW.

CHIC overview

The community housing industry had a significant and increasing role in the provision of social and affordable housing.

CHIC provided a forum for the NSW Government and the community housing industry to develop approaches to manage and deliver social and affordable housing.

CHIC's aims were to support the community housing industry to grow and meet government objectives and community needs.

CHIC was convened by the Secretary of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).
