Information about the recent data breach
The Department of Communities and Justice takes data security extremely seriously and acted with urgency to identify and implement mitigation strategies to contain the breach. We are now assessing the documents involved and will contact affected individuals as quickly as possible.
The matter has been reported to Cyber Security NSW and the NSW Police Cybercrime Squad and is subject to an active police investigation.
Avow is a free mobile phone app for people in NSW who are going to court for a domestic violence matter or have an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO).
The Avow app contains easy to read information, a planning tool, useful tips and frequently asked questions to help users better understand and comply with their ADVO conditions and prepare for court.
Avow aims to help users comply with their order to avoid breaches and criminal charges.
