The information on this webpage applies to subpoenas, summons, statutory notices, and statutory orders within the scope of our policy. It does not apply to any of the categories excluded from the policy.
You must address subpoenas, summons, statutory notices, and statutory orders requiring DCJ (including Corrective Services NSW) to produce documents or things as follows:

Electronic service is preferred. We do not require a hardcopy if you have served us electronically.
We accept service of the subpoenas, summons, statutory notices, and statutory orders to produce within the scope of our policy (PDF, 240.6 KB).
We do not accept service of the following and we will not forward or re-direct them on your behalf:
The issuing party is responsible for ensuring effective service on the recipient. Refer to any relevant legislation or jurisdictional rules for the required manner of service. The Custodial Operations Policy and Procedures (COPP) also provide information about serving individuals in custody.

Please follow the below steps:
Conduct money of $100.00 is payable when serving a subpoena, summons, statutory notice, or statutory order to produce, subject to applicable legislation or statutory rules.
DCJ may also incur and seek payment of additional costs of complying with a subpoena, summons, statutory notice, or statutory order at the rates outlined in our policy (PDF, 240.6 KB). If additional compliance costs are not paid, DCJ may seek the recovery of these costs through the relevant court or tribunal.
