Our website uses an automatic service to translate our content into different languages. These translations should be used as a guide only. See our Accessibility page for further information.
The Community Profiles Report lets DCJ staff, Non-Government Organisations, and the public, access information critical to service-planning needs, and address community data needs across 129 NSW Local Government Areas (LGAs).
Publicly available data has been obtained from a wide range of sources such as the Bureau of Criminal Statistics and Research (BOCSAR), NSW Ministry of Health, NSW Department of Education, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
The Community Profiles Report covers over 40 measures, with these data being reported under seven domains:

Basic navigation tips for the landing page are provided below:
To navigate across domains, please click on the name of the corresponding domain, listed on the HOME page and across the top banner.
To filter by LGA, please click on the LGA Name list table – noting the dashboard has preselected Ballina and Bryon, please change to your requirements.
To filter by measure, please click on the View list menu. Each of the eight domains have several different measures available.
Most measures have the option to switch between Chart view and Data view, with further filters available depending on specific population examined.
Sources and caveats for data are listed in all domains under the View List Menu.
All data in the Community Profiles Report can be downloaded as CSV or PDF files, select the download icon in the tableau footer (right hand side). Select Crosstab for CSV or excel. The sheets available for downloading in the pop up menu are not all visible, you may need to scroll down (noting on some devices there may not be a scroll bar).
