Regional roles

"Working in a regional setting there is an opportunity to build strong supportive relationships and a real sense of support and guidance from colleagues in Police, Health and Education,"

Brett, DCJ.

We have jobs vacancies throughout regional NSW listed below. Whether you’re looking for a career in your local region or considering a move to the country.

  • Hunter/New England
  • Murrumbidgee, Far West and Western NSW
  • Southern NSW
  • Northern NSW.

Being a regional caseworker gives stronger relationships with clients and community partners, more varied work, increased opportunities to extend your knowledge and skills across a range of casework, and all the benefits of regional life.

Most of our permanent work is available in regional areas, however if you’re not looking for permanent work straight away, consider a temporary opportunity and find out for yourself what regional casework is all about.

For further information email CaseworkerCareers@facs.nsw.gov.au or contact the Talent Acquisition Team on (02) 9765 5500.

Our vision is to enable vulnerable people to participate fully in NSW social and economic life and build stronger, more sustainable and inclusive communities.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.

Informed by lessons of the past, Department of Communities and Justice is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.

You can access our apology to the Stolen Generations.
