The importance of contract management roles

Central to our contract management approach is managing and strengthening the relationships with service providers, and others involved in working with them.

This relies on understanding the contract management roles and responsibilities of staff in DCJ and external agencies.

It’s important to:

• take a holistic view of service providers, as they may have an existing relationship with DCJ and may provide services across multiple programs
• recognise that each service provider is different and requires tailored engagement to develop a strong relationship.
