(Title appears with inspiring music)

Reece (Aboriginal Community Corrections officer): We need more Aboriginal Community Corrections officers.

(Reece stands at the front, talking to a group of Aboriginal men on Country)

Because when we look at things such as Close the Gap, we need to invite all of us mob coming together and walk together as one. So it's important to know that you have that familiar face at the other end of that table when you're coming into Community Corrections.

(Reece and Yvette laugh and chat with Aboriginal man from the community)

Yvette (Aboriginal Community Corrections officer): We need more people that are connected to our communities, people that are connected to our people, to our mob

(Yvette speaks to another Aboriginal man from the community).

(Music fades and animated NSW government logo appears).

Information alert

Please note that at DCJ we commonly use the word "Aboriginal", recognising that Aboriginal people are the original inhabitants of NSW, the part of Australia we are responsible for. We acknowledge and respect that Torres Strait Islander people are among the First Nations of Australia and that both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are an important part of our staff and the communities we work with.
