Erin Beard

Erin Beard is an experienced Social Worker who has worked supporting vulnerable families, children and communities for over 16 years. As a team leader at Family Support Newcastle, an adjunct lecturer at the University of Newcastle and volunteer with the Afghan community, Erin has a passion and commitment to evidence-based, anti-oppressive and culturally aware social work practice. Working in the field of child protection and well-being and seeing an increase in the reported risk of harm to children in multicultural families has driven a passion for working together with community to keep children safe.
