Many administrative and clerical jobs are about following procedures, checking and keeping records. So if you're an organised person with good attention to detail, this kind of job might suit you.
There are many administrative positions that operate in a variety of settings in the CBD and metropolitan locations and country and regional offices across CSNSW. In some administrative and clerical positions, direct contact with offenders is part of the duties.
Administrative and clerical roles range from entry level to senior management positions and fall broadly into the following areas:
Customer service for example, cashiers, visit bookings and processing in correctional centres, clerical support in Community Corrections district offices;
Head Office and regional offices in areas such as policy development, planning, administration, training, media and public relations; Specialised areas including Corrective Services Industries and Brush Farm Corrective Services Academy.
Successful applicants are expected to comply with legislation, policies and procedures and so contribute to the overall strategic objective of reducing the risk of re-offending.
Administrative and clerical jobs will be advertised on I work for NSW.
