Michelle Chen is the Finance Presenter and journalist of SBS News in Mandarin TV Bulletin. She has worked for SBS Mandarin Radio as a broadcaster and journalist since 2011.

Michelle is passionate about supporting the Chinese community in Australia and over the last decade, she has worked with local community organisations to manage and host cultural events. 

Mrs Nissrine Khadra Daher is the Presenter of SBS News in Arabic TV Bulletin, and a senior journalist. Mrs Daher is a cultural and communication specialist who, for 10 years, worked closely with various Australian multicultural groups and Ethnic Media. A passionate communicator, a public speaker, and a Board Member of the Australian Lebanese Historical Society Inc. Mrs Daher is also a sustainability advocate. Before moving to Australia in 2011, she worked as a senior journalist in various media outlets, including TV, Radio and magazines.

Tamkin Essa is an International Relations and Journalism graduate from Curtin University. She currently works at Settlement Services International welcoming newly arrived refugees and migrants during their settlement in Australia.  

Over the years Tamkin has worked within WA, NSW and worked along side organisations such as the United Nation's office of Counter Terrorism, Bankwest, Curtin University, YACWA, MYAN Australia. She has led two Youth Summits, for multicultural young people living in WA and led the Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network of WA and ran the Shout Out program which provides an opportunity for refugee, migrant, first nations young people to share their stories and insight into topics they feel passionate about through public speaking engagements. Tamkin co-authored Australia's first Youth National Security Strategy which was launched in June, upon commencing at SSI Tamkin has played a key role in relaunching and leading the SSI Youth Committee. She has passion in the areas of youth empowerment, creating inclusive spaces, social justice, girls, and women's rights.
