CSNSW provides a variety of programs and services that support victims of crime, the families of offenders and the wider community.
It recognises that families and community relationships can play an important part in supporting an offender to make and sustain changes which reduce their risk of re-offending.
It offers video conferencing to offenders in regional communities to assist them to report to their respective Community Corrections office as outlined in their court orders. Legal professionals can also use these facilities to speak with their clients in custody.
CSNSW has established a more convenient system for families and friends to electronically deposit money into inmate accounts.
It has also forged partnerships with non-profit and non-government organisations to deliver a range of support services to inmates, their families and offenders in the community as well as victims of crime.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Nations Peoples of NSW and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and future.
Informed by lessons of the past, Department of Communities and Justice is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.
