Disputes about money don't have to end up in court as there is often a better way to resolving problems like these. Community Justice Centres provide experienced mediators free of charge, to help people in dispute reach an agreement.

The NSW Local Court can deal with cases involving claims up to $100,000. Amounts higher than this are heard in the New South Wales District Court or Supreme Court.
