Delivered by Lifeline Australia, Understand, Recognise, Respond: Foundations in Domestic and Family Violence Practice is a free workshop that provides practical, NSW-specific knowledge and resources to support safer and more consistent responses when domestic and family violence is identified.
This two-day workshop is designed for professionals who may not be domestic and family violence specialists, but who may recognise concerns and connect people with support. This includes educators, social workers, community and family support workers, disability support workers, financial counsellors and other frontline workers.
Training is available in both face-to-face and online formats, including 100 workshops across NSW.

People experiencing domestic and family violence often interact with generalist services before accessing specialist support.
Workers do not need to be domestic and family violence specialists to make a difference. With the right knowledge, practical skills and referral information, frontline workers can respond more confidently and help connect people with appropriate support.
