Recommendations

To Corrective Services NSW:

1. hat Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) review Custodial Operations Policy and Procedures (COPP) sections 13.2, 13.3 and 13.8 for the purpose of identifying whether all or one of them should be amended.
2. That CSNSW investigate the provision of Naloxone (aka Narcan) to correctional officers as medication to assist in cases of opioid overdose, especially and urgently in correctional centres where Justice Health medical practitioners are not present at all times of the day and night.
