Carer Connect NSW is a free app and web portal being introduced for authorised foster, relative and kinship carers in NSW. The app will make it easier for carers to access information, update personal details and connect with resources and support.
Developed with ongoing input and feedback from carers across NSW, it has been designed around the everyday needs and experiences of carers.
Carer Connect NSW also gives foster carers greater control over their profile and availability, helping agencies and caseworkers access accurate information when making placement decisions. By keeping their details current, foster carers can help ensure children are in suitable placements quicker.
All authorised foster, relative and kin carers are invited to attend a free information session on Carer Connect NSW, hosted online by DCJ.

The app is designed for authorised foster carers, relative carers and kinship carers in NSW.
Some features vary depending on your caring arrangement. All foster, relative and kinship carers can access resources, information and support materials relevant to their caring role, while foster carers can update profile and availability information to take new placements

All carers will be able to access the latest information and resources, and easily update their personal details.
Critically, Carer Connect NSW will allow foster carers, NGOs and DCJ to work from shared and up-to-date information. By improving the visibility of available and suitable foster carers, Carer Connect NSW supports better matching decisions and improved outcomes for children and young people.
We hope all carers will use the app to make managing information easier, but using Carer Connect NSW is not compulsory. If you prefer not to use it, your caseworker can continue to support you to provide and update information on your behalf.
