We will bring this Strategic Plan to life within DCJ through four key elements.
DCJ leaders will work collaboratively to deliver on the priorities and champion the ways of working in this plan. They will demonstrate accountability for their actions, and communicate with clarity, to build credibility and confidence among our staff, our partners and those we serve.
Executive leadership accountability to the Strategic Plan will establish trust, ensure alignment with goals, drive performance, and create a positive culture of ownership.
Our executive leaders will remain agile to adapt the delivery of the Strategic Plan in response to opportunities, unforeseen challenges, or changes in government priorities. They commit to continuous improvement through ongoing evaluation and will respond as necessary to adjust targets, shift resources, simplify processes or improve support to business areas.
We will promote the Strategic Plan and provide opportunities for our staff to connect with it. We aim to achieve a deeper understanding from every staff member about how their work contributes to the success of this Strategic Plan.
We will support our staff and leaders with learning resources to build their knowledge and capabilities to deliver on the priorities and use the ways of working.
We will work to embed our Strategic Plan over its entire lifecycle.
We will look to strengthen our governance and risk frameworks, cascade and align the priorities and ways of working in our strategy development, and improve our business and operational planning, so that the Strategic Plan becomes part of our daily operations.
Our approach to measuring the success of our Strategic Plan will be delivered in 2026.
We have access to reliable and relevant data that we will use to identify progress, trends, patterns and areas for improvement. This analysis will inform our executive leadership to make the collective decisions that are necessary to achieve success.
Where possible, we will measure the success of our Strategic Plan through the identification of outcomes and objectives, indicators and targets. We will ensure measures are SMART and quantifiable, and balanced by qualitative feedback and evaluation information.
