DCJ continues to operate with fiscal constraints as the NSW Government directs its efforts to building budget resilience in an uncertain environment and investing in government priorities and long-term growth. We must balance meeting demand across our essential and core services, with opportunities to invest in innovation and transform our work.
We will assess how to optimise our budget to meet the growing demands of core service delivery in some areas, while leveraging innovation to drive value and efficiency. We will focus on our fiscal resilience and integrity by ensuring legislative and policy compliance and driving the efficient allocation of resources across our divisions.
To strengthen collective financial accountability and enhance decision-making, we will embed a new budget and financial management framework. This will be supported by efforts to build financial capability across the organisation and improve access to, and interpretation of, financial performance data. We will explore opportunities to enhance our financial systems and reporting tools to support more informed and agile financial management.
