Climate resilient and sustainable systems and assets

NSW is already experiencing climate impacts, such as property damage, service disruptions, rising operational costs, and intensifying social inequities. We have a responsibility and opportunity to manage systems and assets in a way that reduces our greenhouse gas emissions and improves resilience to severe weather events and long-term impacts of climate change.

We will embed climate change considerations into our strategies, governance and decision-making processes and invest in innovation, new technologies and our people to unlock cost-effective and sustainable approaches to decarbonisation.

We will work with other government agencies, communities and service providers to deliver coordinated and community-led action to enable a just transition to net zero and build more resilient communities across NSW.
