Our connections to the broader sector

DCJ is a service provider and a steward of service systems. We work closely with other government, non-government and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to deliver our services. We recognise the importance of these relationships and hope that the Strategic Plan will help us to work more effectively with them.

DCJ is the lead agency in the Communities and Justice Portfolio. Our staff support a range of independent and semi-autonomous agencies within the portfolio. We also work closely with several separate agencies, which are part of the broad systems we support (PDF, 155.5 KB), such as the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Legal Aid Commission, NSW Police, Office of the Children’s Guardian, and the Ageing and Disability Commissioner.
